What is a Soul Worth? - 40 pack

SKU: 8.0

This tract tells a true story of a man in fear of losing his physical life, only to realize that God's Word (the Bible) tells of a second death (a spiritual death) as recorded in Revelation 20:14, "This is the second death."

WHAT IS A SOUL WORTH?

As sure as we live and breathe, we will all stand before our Creator on that final day, Judgment Day (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:6-8).  In the Bible, Hebrews 9:27 says, “it is appointed for men (mankind) to die once, but after this the judgment.”  Yes, one day we will, without a doubt, stand before a holy, merciful, and just God to give an account of our life in sin, a life without His Son, Jesus Christ.

Below, we will recount the true story of a man in fear of losing his physical life, only to realize that God's Word tells of a second death (a spiritual death) as recorded in Revelation 20:14:  “Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death (a death in hell for all eternity).

My name is Saad.  I grew up in a Catholic home where I knew little of God.  I moved to the United States of America when I was nineteen years old.  I worked for my brother at his jewelry store.

One day, I was watching the news and I saw a hold-up at a gas station where the robber pulled a gun on the cashier.  The cashier gave him all the money in the cash register without a fight, but the robber took the money and killed him anyway.

The next day, I was at work and a man came in and pulled a gun on me.  He made me get on my knees.  He put the gun to my head.  I could only think of the incident I saw on the news the day before, and I thought I was going to die.

Then I saw all my sins before my eyes as if it were a movie.  Within five minutes, he stole a lot of jewelry and left.

That night, I couldn't sleep.  A voice came to my heart asking me, “Saad, if you were to die tonight, where will you be?”

I knew in my heart that I did horrible things, lived a miserable life, and was a sinner.  I was honest with myself and I answered the question, “I'm going to hell.”  I couldn't sleep for two months because that question kept coming to my heart, and my answer was the same.  I tried to forget about it or to find any solution to get out from that situation but I couldn't!

Then one day, I was listening to the radio.  A speaker came on and said that if you would like to hear about the love of God, the grace of God, and the miracle of God, then come to our church and join us.  As soon as I heard this message, I was impressed with the words because I had never heard anything like that before even though I grew up in a Catholic family.  I thought I knew Christ, but I really didn't know Him at all. While listening to that speaker, a voice came to my heart and asked me, “Saad, you're working seven days, is it too much to take only a half hour of your time for me?”  I said, “No it's not too much.”  And, I wanted to go to that church.  However, the speaker had already said the address and I didn't write it down.  As soon as I decided to go to that church, the speaker said, “I will repeat the address one more time, bring pen and paper to write it down.”  I felt that he was talking to me directly and I wrote down the address.

I went to the church and sat right in the back with the wall behind me.  I said to myself, “If I don't like the message I will leave right away.”

The speaker came on and said that he was going to preach from Genesis 12-15.  He was speaking about God calling Abraham to go to the Promise Land.

It was a really simple message and it really touched my heart when it came to the point where God said to Abraham, “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are - northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. ... Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”  (Genesis 13:14-15,17)

The speaker connected this point with the cross.  He said, “If anyone here is searching for eternal life, all you have to do is look at Jesus Christ on the cross and believe that He died for your sins and that He shed his blood for you.”

The speaker was pointing his finger in my direction.  I thought he was pointing at someone behind me (I totally forgot that there was no one behind me).  I looked behind me, saw the wall, and I realized that God was calling me to commit my heart to Him.  That night I accepted Him as my Savior, as my King, and as my Lord.  A river of tears flew from my eyes and I felt tremendous peace in my heart.

At the end of the service, the church was trying to find out who came to the service as a result of the different announcements, advertisements, broadcasts, and tracts.  This was their first time putting a broadcast on the radio.  They found out there was only one person who came because they heard the radio broadcast, and that person was me.  So I said, “Am I really worth it to you?  Am I really precious to you that much?”

I decided to live for God and serve Him all the days of my life.  He changed me and made me a new person in Christ.

The cost of the radio broadcast was $650 dollars.  Because of the joy in his heart and the realization that he had been given a second chance at a new life in Christ, Saad decided to pay the cost of the radio broadcast.

In the Word of Truth (the Bible), John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever (including Saad) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The true cost of salvation is without measure, and the “whoever” means you too.  Call upon Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, to save your soul.
