ROADMAP TO HEAVEN
 
THERE ARE FOUR THINGS YOU MUST KNOW TO BE 100% SURE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN.
 
You must know that we are all sinners.
 
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
 
Nobody is perfect.  We have all dis-obeyed God at one time or  another.  Sin is doing what God has said not to do; or not doing what God has said to do.  Every one of us is guilty of sin.
 
You must know that there is a penalty on sin.
 
For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
 
Because of our sin, we have earned the penalty on sin, which is death.  Physically we all must die, but we are not just physical beings; we also have a soul.  The Bible says, “the soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4).  Hell is called the second death (Revelation 21:8).  That means that if you and I received what we deserve for our sins, we would have to go to Hell.
 
You must know that Jesus died as the payment for our sin.
 
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
 
Because of His great love for us, God provided a way to pay for our sins.  Jesus Christ, because He had never sinned Himself, was able to offer Himself as the payment for our sins.  He suffered and bled and died as the satisfactory payment for the sins that you and I have committed.  On the third day after His death, He arose from the grave to prove that indeed He had provided victory over sin and death and Hell. “Christ died for our sins” (1 Corinthians 15:3).  Because Jesus died for us, He paid the wages of sin for us.
 
You must know that salvation is a free gift from God and must be received.
 
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).
 
Jesus completely paid for our salvation and now offers eternal life as a free gift.  
 
The Bible says that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).  A gift is freely given, but must be accepted.  Salvation, though already paid for, must be accepted as a gift.  The Bible promises that “whosoever” shall call on the Lord shall be saved.  That means anybody and everybody.  If you believe that you are a sinner, if you believe that because of your sin you deserve to go to Hell, and if you believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and to save you from Hell – you can be saved.  Whosoever calls upon the Lord will be saved.  If you would like to accept God’s gift of salvation, simply ask Him to save you.  
 
Pray this prayer:
“Lord, I know that I am a sinner and that I can’t save myself.  I know that I deserve to go to Hell, but I believe that Jesus died to pay for my sins.  I now receive Jesus as my Savior.  I ask You to save me, to forgive my sins, and to take me to Heaven when I die.  I thank You in Jesus’ name.  Amen”
 
We must either receive or reject God’s gift of eternal life.  Our prayer is that you will accept Jesus Christ today as your Savior.

Just as a newborn baby grows physically, in a similar way you can grow spiritually, by taking the following steps:
READ THE BIBLE – starting with the Gospel of John, read a chapter each day.
PRAYER – Spend time each day talking with God.
WORSHIP – Regularly attend a church that honors Jesus Christ and teaches you the Bible.
FELLOWSHIP – with Christians who will help you grow in faith.
WITNESS – Tell others what Jesus Christ means to you!
